What We Believe
TRINITY
We believe that there is but one God, eternally existent and manifested in the triune Godhead, three persons co-equal in power and purpose–God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is the only Mediator between God and man. He is the living Lord of the Bible and the living Lord of today. He is the Head of the Church. (I John 5:7, Matt. 28:19)
JESUS CHRIST
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God. We believe in His deity, in His virgin birth, in His perfect and sinless life, in His supernatural work in miracles and healing, in His substitutionary death, in His shed blood which atones for the sins of the world, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father in heaven, and in His return in power and glory to rapture a mature Church.
We believe healing is provided in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ and is available to every believer.
THE BLOOD
We believe in the power of the blood of Jesus Christ. It...
-
Provides forgiveness of our sins. (Hebrews 9:22)
-
Gives life. (John 6:53)
-
Brings us close to God. (Ephesians 2:13)
-
Cleanses our conscience. (Hebrews 9:14)
-
Gives us boldness to approach God. (Hebrews 10:19)
-
Sanctifies us. (Hebrews 13:12)
-
Cleanses us. (1 John 1:7)
-
Heals us. (1 Peter 2:24)
-
Enables us to overcome the devil and his works. (Revelation 12:11)
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the Holy Spirit as the third person of the God Head (Trinity) and believe He is the sole agent of a person’s regeneration and renewal (Titus 3:5).
We believe All believers should ardently expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father, which is the baptism in the Holy Spirit. With it comes:
-
the infilling of power for life and service. (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-8)
-
the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the ministries work. (1 Cor 12:1-11)
-
the experience of the New Birth. (Acts 2:38; 10:44-46; 11:14-16; 15:7-9).
THE WORD OF GOD
We believe the Holy Bible to be the inspired, inerrant, and only infallible, authoritative Word of God. The Old and New Testaments are God's divinely inspired Word, which is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness (II Tim. 3:16,
II Pet. 1:20). The Bible, which all believers can read and understand, is our final authority in faith and conduct.
THE CHURCH
We believe in the Church as the assembly of all those who have received the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior who comes for Christian fellowship, preaching and teaching the Bible, and world evangelization. We believe the Church, ordained by God and founded by Jesus Christ, is the saints equipping agency. It is an arm of God for the express purpose of world evangelization, healing, and strengthening auxiliary for the Body of Christ. We believe the Church provides the moral conscience for society and expresses God's clear will for all humanity.
ORIGINAL SIN AND SALVATION
We believe that all have sinned and come short of God's glory and require salvation
(Rom. 3:23, 3:10-12). We believe the salvation and sanctification of unbelievers through the renewal and regeneration of the Holy Spirit in the heart. We believe that God wills for no one to be lost, but all should come to repentance (II Pet. 3:9, Jn. 3:16).
ETERNAL DESTINATION
We believe in the resurrection of the dead to eternal life with Jesus for the saved. The unbelieving lost are eternally damned to Hell.
SACRAMENTS
We believe in the observance of the Holy Eucharist (Holy Communion or Lord’s Supper), in water baptism, and the ministry and baptism of the Holy Spirit, empowering and enabling the Christian to live a holy life in this present world and to minister as Jesus did.
